In today's episode of the "Chibi-Robo!" playthrough, we gain the ability to speak to frogs (and Jenny) and fail at the Free Ranger's jungle training.

Thanks to the squirter that we found in Jenny's room, we're finally able to rehydrate that shriveled frog in the backyard, who rewards us with a handy frog suit that allows us to speak to frogs, which also extends to Jenny.
Though speaking of Jenny, I have to say that the more I play this game, the more that her character's grown on me. When I first started this playthrough, I thought that Jenny would be one of those kids that's on the verge of an evil rampage, what with how she acts like a frog and constantly smiles at you with this blank look in her eye; but in all actuality, Jenny's just a kindhearted girl who just wants some love and attention as she watches her parents' marriage collapsing in front of her. Heck, Jenny gives us 66 happy points the first time we talk to her while wearing the frog suit on the grounds that she feels like she's finally found someone who understands her.
That's one of my favorite parts about this game: all of the characters are written so well that you can't help but love them and become invested in their story arcs. However, my relationship with the Free Rangers is a bit strained at the moment due to their jungle training exercise, which requires you to platform using the Chibi-Copter as fast as you can. Thankfully, while one of the Free Rangers states that his best time is 1 minute and 36 seconds, you don't have to beat this time to pass the test and progress their storyline.
