"Once, Lenny made a wish that he could see better because of his Hood Swoop blocking his view, which then manifested into a star (which he couldn't see), and then shot up into the sky, to notify two magical beings to come and grant it, but one of them accidentally drops their wand, and it falls and lands right where Lenny is, and then, he and several other cars (and a giant tadpole) investigate it, but soon enough, they all start fighting over it, and every time one successfully grabs it, they use it to mess with the others. The only one who will use it right is Lenny, who only uses it to grant his own wish. The magical beings are still flying high above, too timid to come down and take the wand back, and Chick Hicks ends up dead before they can pluck up the needed courage, with the help of Lenny and his newly-found super-vision, and the damages done can finally be fixed (except for bringing Chick back)."

Instead of asking why Whismur and Hatenna have wings and are acting as what they probably shouldn't be, why don't you ask why there are a bunch of talking cars, and the fact that they can hold the wand up no problem despite having no real hands?
