Today's Chivalry 2 gameplay video features the Crossbow in action during a round at Wardenglade. I typically go archer when it comes to Wardenglade because it's too easy to get surrounded by enemies on this map, since it's one big open field with a few rolling hills.

In the Chivalry 2 open beta, I found myself enjoying the Crossbow far more than I was enjoying the Longbow and Javelins. I think a big part of it is that the latter two weapons don't sound satisfying, and the CRACK of the Crossbow feeling fired gives it a sense of power that the other two weapons are lacking. Also, it's easier to aim.
