In this video I discuss the most commonly used terminal commands in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. It is important to know these commands when it comes to tweaking some more advanced settings. Although the most commonly used settings are in settings, in other more cases, you may need to tweak a hidden configuration file and therefore it helps to know the basics around the terminal. Think of this skillset as being analogous to the use of the registry editor within Windows.

The commands I will cover are:
cd change directory
- the last accessed directory
. the current directory
.. the superdirectory
touch i.e. touch a directory with a new file
rm remove a file
mv move or rename a file
cp copy a file
mkdir make a directory
rmdir remove a directory
ls list the contents of a directory
nano text editor
echo
bash born again shell
python3
zip
unzip
/ root
sudo super user do
chmod change modifications
snap package manager
apt advanced package tool package manager
