Chrono Cross is the sequel to the world changing Chrono Trigger, like it or not, which released on the Sony PlayStation between 1999 and 2000 in NTSC territories only. It later received a remaster that was released world wide in 2022.

Chrono Cross tells the story of Serge, a boy who stumbles into another world -- one where he has died. Following on from Crhono Trigger, almost like a fish streaming along beside a mantra - the game examines the grand tapestry of existence and the "what ifs" of moments in our lives where the decisions that we have made may have changed the trajectory of our lives.

Whilst some people may not appreciate this game as it's not a direct continuation of Chrono Trigger's story - let's explore whether or not this is a good game and worth playing today, by diving into its philosophical themes and sensibilites.
