Chrono Cross - stream 16
4Recap: Skelly catches up with his grandmother in Termina, then joins the party. After a lot of aimless wandering, Serge ends up in the back room at the bar in Termina, where the Acacia Dragoons are hiding from the Porre troops. Karsh and Zoah greet them, relaying that they entered Fort Dragonia after Serge's party had gone in. They witnessed Lynx in Serge's body departing with Kid's body, and found the stabbed General Viper on the floor, still alive. They also found the shards of the shattered Dragon's Tear on the ground, and brought back what they could.
General Viper was brought to Hermit's Hideaway, and is currently being cared for by Marcy. Karsh and Zoah were surprised to see Termina and Viper Manor occupied by the Porre military when they returned, and they wish to join up to rescue Riddel from the manor's prison. Zoah stays behind to gather information, while Karsh follows Serge to Viper Manor. His physical form allows him to be recognized by the Porre military, allowing them to enter mostly undeterred.
Inside the manor, Riddel is being taken to a possible torture room, with the lab-created killing machine Grobyc and the demon chef Orcha being sent in to interrogate her. The Commander Norris of Kid's timeline had been undercover gathering information at the manor for some time, but his advice is no longer being taken by the rest of the military. Norris meets his alternate self, and after the situation is explained, he gives them a prison key and tells them they can get in through the sewer.
Before entering the sewer, they catch up with Luccia, who is working on a flower creature called NeoFio. Serge happens to have the spark of life needed to awaken NeoFio, and she joins the party. After fighting a giant roach in the sewer, they come out in a cell where Fargo is being held, freeing him on the way to Riddel. Fargo leaves to free the other prisoners as Serge's party moves onward.
