Some time into the fight I decide to leave Crono dead because reviving and healing him over and over just isn't worth it. The Son of Sun is defeated and he transforms into the Moon Stone which we take to 65.000.000 B.C. to recharge its energy in the Sun Keep. In 600 A.D., there's a Power Tab in the keep and in 1000 A.D., the stone is... gone? The sparkling house of the Mayor of Porre gives a slight hint on where it might be. Here's where all that stuff with the Jerky comes into play. Had I sold the Jerky to the woman in 600 A.D. instead of just giving it to her, the Mayor would be too greedy to give the stone back to us, but since we gave the Jerky to her, the family here is ridiculously generous and the Mayor gives the Moon Stone back to us. In 2300 A.D., the stone is completely recharged and becomes the Sun Stone. Lucca and Taban create the WonderShot (Luccas best weapon) and the Sun Shades (decent accessory) from the Sun Stone, and by that this sidequest ends.
