Ahead waits yet another Lavos Spawn which is easily defeated but this one leaves its shell behind so the hint of the third doll actually makes sense. We climb the shell to get to the top of Death Peak where a scene takes place in which the Chrono Trigger shatters and the party gets warped to the point where Crono was killed by Lavos, only that time has stopped here. The party takes the opportunity to exchange the clone for the real Crono and voilà: he's alive! I kinda got weird characters in my party at this point, having Lucca or Marle as my lead character would have resulted in a much more emotional welcome-back-scene, but this way, Crono's resurrection is like the most normal thing on earth. Anyway, we are automatically warped back to the End of Time where Gaspar gives us hints on where to go next.

Note: Everything from this point on is optional (except for fighting Lavos, of course); in fact, even reviving Crono or going to 12.000 B.C. etc. was optional since we can fight Lavos anytime we want, remember? The events Gaspar told us about are side quests taking place in different time periods and areas, many of which we haven't seen before. For the sake of the walkthrough, I will lead us through every last one of them, since I believe that much of this game's value comes from these sidequests (at least I always felt that way).
