SITUATION
The Tajikistani Civil War, began during May 1992 when regional groups from the Garm and Gorno-Badakhshan regions of Tajikistan rose up against the newly-formed pro-communist government of President Rahmon Nabiyev. The rebel groups are led by a combination of pro-democratic reformers and Islamists, who organized together under the banner of the United Tajik Opposition (UTO). The communist government is supported by local Taji militia and Russian border guards. The White House has ordered CIA SAD covert operations to disrupt the communist influence in the region and support U.S. political intentions. Your cover will be PMCs guarding a wealthy business man's poppy farm fields in the area.
MISSION
Team Delta 7 has been tasked with meeting a CIA source called "Gambit". The source has sensitive information about Taji Militia operating in the area. The Taji's are known to be pro-communist supporters and are very aggressive towards the local population. Gambit and the locals are tired of the militias criminal activities and support the democratic movement. Headquarters at Langley, VA has determined that the disruption of militia operations will deter support for the current government and encourage membership in the UTO.
1. Gather Intel from Gambit
2. Disrupt Taji Milita in the area
