SITUATION
The Tajikistani Civil War, began during May 1992 when regional groups from the Garm and Gorno-Badakhshan regions of Tajikistan rose up against the newly-formed pro-communist government of President Rahmon Nabiyev. The rebel groups are led by a combination of pro-democratic reformers and Islamists, who organized together under the banner of the United Tajik Opposition (UTO). The communist government is supported by local Taji militia and Russian border guards. The White House has ordered CIA SAD covert operations to disrupt the communist influence in the region and support U.S. political intentions. Your cover will be PMCs guarding a wealthy business man's poppy farm fields in the area.
MISSION
Team Delta 7, great job with kidnapping Taki militia leader Ali Heydar Kabir Fahim. However, your job is not over yet. Encrypted radios must not fall into enemy hands. Taji Militia have been seen at the safe house and gunshots have been heard all night. We dont believe the radios have been surrendered to the Tajik Army or into Russian hands.
Langley needs our team to extract the HVT to a black site. Furthermore, your presence in the country has been compromised. We can only assume that Gambit and his workers have disclosed the presence of Americans in Tajikistan. The Intel that Famim may provide will be given to pro-democratic supporters and militia.
