A "science" video. Done as proof that the Darkness element effect works on Giant Bosses, not just officers. Analysis at 2:19.

EDIT: Oh yeah, it's worth mentioning that the Darkness element effect is basically a constant. This particular Dodongo was chosen because he has notoriously high defense, which makes the added Darkness damage really stand out. If you're tackling the much weaker bosses on the Master Quest map for example, the Darkness effect is only going to add like 10-20% to your damage at most. Not that easy to notice without precise measurements.
