8-bit Summoning Gate mission, take 2
Also known as Termina D-16. A more decisive victory than the one trying to decide whether I made it under the Damage Taken limit or not...
Strategy's about the same. Take out glowing red officers to give your allies a morale boost, then high-tail it back to Cia to give her cover. You can leave once you've taken care of all the morale-boosted Rogue Forces; after that your Defense Specialist will take care of the rest. When cleaning up the rest of the map, you can leave to service other targets if Attack Specialist catches up to you.
I guess the biggest difference was an interesting combo I heard about. You summon powered Manhandla, then when the two stalks appear you use your Special Attack to halt the movement of enemies and make them unable to block the seed barrage at the end. Any officers in front of you at that time get demolished, and you'll probably get your Special Gauge back since the seeds do so many strong hits.
It's really nice to have another good option for taking down officers, since this mission is focused on killing select officers. In fact it might even be a more reliable killer than Argorok since you don't have to worry about enemies bouncing too high to hit.
The time it takes to set up is still a real problem though. To get the Manhandla out you need to predict the enemy's movement REALLY far in advance, use mooks as shields against projectiles, and/or use the slowdown effect from the random Manhandla summon to buy time. Maybe Boomerang, but you won't be able to stun all the officers and still get the powered summon out if there's a huge pack of them. This is usually not guaranteed to be safe so you have to be ready to dodge out or use a Special if something happens.
