CiB Game Boy Theater - Bases Loaded and Hatris (Episode 38)
The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.
Hey look, it's another really simple game, like baseball, where the CPU is just too good for school. I'm not bad at baseball games at all - in fact, I've played more than average person (Especially older ones), and boy am I getting BTFO. Listen, I don't expect to hit a home run every time but... yikers.
Besides that, Bases Loaded would have been pretty fun to play back then. Very simple game that doesn't try to do too much (lookin' at you literally half of the Game Boy library), simple, if not almost ranging on fun. NEXT!
Yo kids - you know Tetris? (Yeah!) You uh, you know hats? (...Yeah?) BADA BOOM HATRIS. Give money, please.
I suck at Tetris to begin with, so you want to make it HARDER with more complex shapes and movements? Hahahahahaha --- I mean it has a target audience, which is literally the opposite of me. Pass! Thanks for watching.
