CiB Let's Try - Cruis'n USA (N64)
2Cruis'n USA was released on the N64 on December 3, 1996, making this a very early release for the system. Although the arcade version was published by Midway, the N64 version was designed by Williams (known for their pinball), and published by Nintendo themselves.
Well hey! This is two arcade ports in two weeks (including Killer Instinct Gold last week) that a) released very early in the N64's life, and b) run (for the most part) very well!
Overall, Cruis'n USA is Cruis'n USA - it's a solid arcade-style racer, and a pretty darn solid port of the arcade game. The 1 player runs very well, and the 2 player mode runs anywhere from solid (most of the time) to absolutely awful (the streets of San Francisco). If you're looking for an arcade-style racer, you can't go wrong here -- thanks for watching!
