Mendel Palace was released on October 12, 1990 as an NES exclusive - it was developed by Game Freak (yes, -that Game Freak), and was the first game they ever developed! Mendel Palace was published by Hudson Soft.

I'm not a huge fan of puzzle games, but this is a nice mixture of puzzle and platforming/action. Apologies that we didn't realize you can play the levels co-op, but only if you pick the same stages. Very interesting idea that was not done by many other games at the time.

As you can tell from the thumbnail, the game started to glitch pretty badly about halfway through -- odd, because the NES we use generally runs games really well. Oh well, it's pretty darn hilarious, and one of the good or bad things about using original hardware -- depending on how you look at it.

Mendel Palace is pretty cheap, so we'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a pretty unique NES game -- thanks for watching!
