Rocket: Robot on Wheels was released on November 17, 1999, as a Nintendo 64 exclusive. It was developed by Sucker Punch, who also developed the first three Sly Cooper games, all the Infamous games, and Ghost of Tsushima. It was published by Ubisoft, who should need no introductions, for better or worse.

Rocket: Robot on Wheels is another 3D mascot platformer on the N64. It's definitely not as good as something like Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie, but it's clearly a lot better than others (Duck Dodgers, Starshot, etc).

The game definitely has charm, and Rocket is a pretty cool/cute playable character, but at least for the limited time we have during these Let's Try videos, it has the same major problems as other 3D collect-a-thons: 1) there is so much to collect, but despite this, 2) it seemingly features vast, empty worlds.

I would much rather have a game be more jam-packed into a smaller space (again, see Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie) than have a huge, sparse world (see Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64). That being said, I can definitely see why people like this game -- it has charm, and I'm sure it picks up if you give it more time, but these Let's Try videos are always our initial view. Regardless, thank you for watching!
