Flying Dragon was released on July 31, 1998 as a Nintendo 64 exclusive. It was developed by Culture Brain, which almost exclusively developed games that didn't leave Japan, though this one did, because it was published by Natsume.

Would you look at this -- a Let's Try game we've never really heard of that actually exceeds expectations! Today... was a good day.

Flying Dragon is an extremely unique fighting game that blends both a Chibi-style 2D fighting game along with a more realistic-style 3D fighting game. I really like the idea of gaining experience and new equipment in the Chibi version, and it's really something that the characters are mostly (or all) different between the two modes.

I don't say this often, but we can definitely recommend this one, especially if you're looking for a different kind of early 3D fighting game. Thanks for watching!
