Virtual Chess 64 was released on June 10, 1998 as a Nintendo 64 exclusive. It was developed and published by Titus France -- the very same company that developed the infamous Superman 64.

Well, this is certainly chess! Besides the little animations when pieces are captured, this is as bare-bones of a chess game as you could possibly expect on the N64.

We do end up playing a full game of chess on this video -- we both barely know how to play, so apologies to anyone who actually knows how to play chess well. I'm sure you'll notice 100 errors during this game. Nevertheless, we had fun! Thanks for watching.
