CiB Let's Try - Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012 (PS1)
1Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012 was released on October 6, 1998 as a Playstation 1 exclusive. It was developed by SingleTrac, who is famous for the Twisted Metal and Jet Moto series, and published by GT Interactive, which somehow is now part of Atari (the whole history of Atari and its developers is extremely confusing).
Well, no wonder we saw the obvious Twisted Metal comparison -- it was made by the Twisted Metal developers! I'm personally not a huge fan of the Twisted Metal games (though I realize that they were in general pretty quality), though this game on a surface playthrough is pretty fun!
The multiplayer is pretty tough to stomach -- almost all games we play with split-screen on PS1 end up being very hard to make out things on the screen -- but everything is clearly visible in single player. The fact that it says 'photo op' on the screen for single player also makes things much easier, as the mini-map is a bit of a mess.
Overall, pretty quality game, and if you're looking for something like Twisted Metal but with some more humor and gimmicks, check this one out -- thanks for watching!
