CiB Let's Try - Team Buddies (PS1)
3Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.
NOTE: we are sorry to everyone who loves this game. In the 18 minutes we spent with it, we didn't understand it at all. It doesn't make your childhood experiences any less, we just do not get this game, even as adults lol
Team Buddies was released on September 18, 2000 as a Playstation exclusive, and was developed by the KINGS at Psygnosis, and published by Midway games for... some reason, even though Psygnosis was usually a publisher, and not necessarily a developer. Weird...
Anyway, this is one of those games that everyone who grew up at the time remembers because of it being on many demo discs, specifically a famous Pizza Hut demo disc. Considering the price that we -rarely ever- see it at the store, clearly this is one of those games people either only had as a demo, or a rental at best. Very few copies of this game were sold, yet, everyone remembers it.
As I said above, I'm sure this game is much better than we give it credit for, but it's seriously difficult to understand, even for an adult in CURRENT YEAR. That being said, if you enjoy Team Buddies, let us know below, and your favorite level/etc. Thanks for watching!
