CiB Let's Try - Tunnel B1 (PS1)
Tunnel B1 was released on November 21, 1996 for the PS1 (it also got PC and Saturn ports at a later date), making this a pretty early PS1 release. It was developed by NEON Software (who made a bunch of nonsense throughout the 90s), and published by Acclaim (which is essentially the 90s/2000s version of LJN).
Out of all genres, early 3D first-person games may be the most difficult to go back to. As a positive, Tunnel B1 runs really well given its age. The game looks solid enough, the draw-distance is good, and the FPS is very nice. That being said, the style of gameplay really doesn't seem to translate well to Current Year.
There's nothing ridiculously wrong with Tunnel B1, it's just an early FPS 3D game within the first year of the Playstation's life -- and it certainly does show its age. Thanks very much for watching!
