We're back with more Let's Try videos, but this time with some BLAST PROCESSING - that's right, Sega Genesis Let's Try videos, baby!

Valis: The Fantasm Soldier was released in 1986 for the Japanese MSX, and subsequently ported to... everything. It was originally developed by Wolf Team and published by Telenet Japan. I can't super verify who did all the porting for the Genesis version, but at least we know it was ported in 1991 to the US Genesis.

Valis was apparently popular enough to spawn a whole series in Japan. We ended up getting the first four in America (first three on Genesis, last one on SNES).

Overall, it's a solid left-to-right, walk-ahead-and-hit-things-as-they-come-at-you game. It is very much appreciated that this seems like one of those Sega Genesis games you can actually beat --- this is a Let's Try after all, so we are assuming it doesn't have any crazy hard levels later.

I'm always amazed when I see anything anime-inspired on the US Genesis. It's hard to imagine a system designed with less of an anime ideal - if you want a nice, short, easy play through, play this one however you can - thanks for watching!
