CiB Phillips CD-I Theater - Voyeur (Part 1) (Episode 5)
The Phillips CD-i, released in 1991 for almost $1000, was supposed to be the next big thing in video games. It was one of the first systems that used CD technology, so surely, this would be all the rage, right?
With a library of games that have so little gameplay that they barely count as games, a frustrating controller, and no big system-sellers, it's no wonder the system failed. Now, we are here to bring you a lot of CD-i games you haven't seen - this is the bottom of the barrel, folks - it doesn't get much worse than this.
We had a little bit of extra time, so I quickly picked a random weird-looking CD-i game off of the shelf - enter: Voyeur.
Obviously, we only had a few minutes, but I definitely want to learn more about this game --- we'll be back to check it out again. It's not laughably bad, a la Fox Hunt, and I'm kind of intrigued by it. I'm hoping that the actual playthrough ends up being at least a reasonably good time... fingers crossed! We'll see you next time with more of this game.
