In line with its enlightenment and collaborative strategy, the Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria, CIPMN has called on the stakeholders in the pension industry, military, public and private sectors to join force with the institute to prevent quacks from managing projects in the country.
CIPMN Registrar, Henry Ifeanyi Mbadiwe made the call at the 2024 edition of the Pension Correspondents Association of Nigeria, PENCAN, conference in Abuja.
He said the institute established by an act of the parliament, domiciled in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment is the sole agency empowered to regulate project management in the country.
He also spoke on the importance of the PENCAN conference to the overall benefit of the country.
The CIPMN boss however, noted that the institute would ensure that only licenced individuals, organisations, government and private institutions are allowed to handle projects in the country in order to permanently address the issues of abandonment
