A Civil Society Council has expressed dismay over the ongoing controversy between the Dangote Refinery Limited and Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited over operational cost and products pricing.

The Executive Director, National Civil Society Council of Nigeria, NCSCN,
Blessing Akinlosotu, made the call at a news conference in Abuja.

He said the allegation by Dangote against NNPCL for compromising standards and quality of imported petroleum products to be sold at cheaper rates despite findings proving otherwise is weighty as such needs proper clarification by the accused.

Mr. Akinlosotu also spoke on findings of an independent investigation carried by the Civil Society Council.

He however, called on Nigerians to be calm in the face of hike in pump price of Premium Motor Spirit also known as Petrol.
