I'm so disappointed by Cities 2's critical bugs that I'm openly promoting other companies' games for free in a Cities-related video.
Anyway, here's some "hope torture" for fellow Cities players.
1. https://junxions.com/ There's a game called Junxions scheduled for release this year. I'm not sure if it'll launch fully or in early access, but I'm personally thrilled that it's a dedicated road-builder game. The demo video looks fantastic.
However, I suspect it'll struggle commercially because road-building games are even more niche than city-building ones. Still, it's a perfect match for my personal taste, so it easily earns a passing grade. I'll buy it immediately upon release—really looking forward to this game.
Anyway, it's a promising game for users like me who are passionate about road construction.
2. https://beyondcad.com/ This one seems to be a professional urban infrastructure tool. Aside from hardware requirements and its price, it's something I'd love to explore. The demo videos make it clear it's a specialized professional tool, but it actually looks quite enjoyable. It feels somewhat like an advanced counterpart to Junxions, so I'm mentioning them together.
Anyway, that's my small way of expressing my frustration.
