City of Steam-Gameplay
5Hello and thanks for checking out this video on City of Steam. I covered the game a few months back but only had a little time to play it. The game comes from R2 which is known for several FB games including Crystal Saga. This game far and above feels like a much higher quality than their FB ones. These are the same people also doing Wartune which seems to be showing up in a lot of ads lately.
CoS is a steampunk grounded, action RPG similar to Diablo, Torchlight, Darkstone, Nox, etc. You go to the CoS site and play it there rather than through FB like some other R2 games. To be frank, I feel the quality of CoS is quite good especially when compared to other R2 games. You can see a LITTLE of their style in this but I believe this game could have stood on its own as maybe a steam game. I wouldn't say that it'd be something you plunk down $15-20 for in a store but it feels a bit higher in caliber than a lot of web games.
I mostly am impressed by the early energy requirements. I feel with your pool of 1000 energy, you could do things for hours before running low. It can very easily contend for some of your gaming time. My gunner is fun to play and as you can see in the video, seems fairly strong at the level she's at. It'll be very interesting to see where I can fit this in in terms of my available time for web gaming. It currently contends with Marvel Avengers, Chronoblade and Vega Conflict for large play times. I feel I'd slight the game if I only logged in for a daily bonus and left.
