I had to skip the second level for this footage, because there is a false copyright flag on the music of Doom E1M2, so I jumped from the first level to the third.

I remember hearing about this mod years ago, and I always wanted to play it, but forgot to get around to it until two days ago when it's existence popped back into my head. Off to Modb I went, and a quick download later, here it is, Classic Doom 3. It's definitely fun to play retro Doom levels in the idTech4 engine.

I am running it off the retail CD version of the game, but the mod information page says it works with the Steam version as well. I decided to use the retail version to play it, just to be safe with compatibility.

Either way, I rarely explore game mods, mostly because there is a massive, overwhelming amount of mods for most popular PC games, and I have no idea where to start on any of my games, plus my backlog of official releases is absurdly huge, so I rarely take the time to play mods. Nothing against mods, they can be amazing, I just don't have time most of the time.
