The Dragon Warrior series makes its debut on the PlayStation 2 with Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. You can play as a young guardsman who must fight against a curse that he is mysteriously immune to. Characters in the game are designed by the creator of the Dragonball characters and are cel-shaded to provide an "anime" feel. The game is set in a large 3D world ravaged by the effects of the curse.

Dragon Quest VIII uses cel-shading textures for the characters and scenery and is the first game in the series to have fully three dimensional environments. This game retains most of the series' role-playing game elements, such as turn-based combat and the experience level system. Dragon Quest VIII follows the silent Hero, the main character, and his party of allies as they journey towards their goal of defeating the wicked Dhoulmagus. The kingdom of Trodain has been cursed by Dhoulmagus and the King, Trode, and his daughter, Medea, have both been transformed and it is up to the Hero to return them to their original form and save the kingdom.

Demo Disc Note: To get this demo disc, you have to sign up from the SquareEnix website so they will send you this demo disc. I didn't did this as I got it with bundle of games I was buying from someone and he include it with the bundle for free (no point to pay for it really).

This is actually the first time for me to try out this disc but it doesn't really matter as I did play the full game and beat it. One of my favorite RPG in the PS2 console.

Anyhow, just to remind everyone to keep the annotations "ON" so you can choose which mode you want to watch. I hope everyone like this type of work as it took me forever to do the edit for this demo disc and will continue to do it if people like to watch more demo disc.
