Claymation Movements - Quick Examples with qStopMotion
In this next behind-the-scenes video, we look at another brief yet significant selection of my process during animation of Klay World style props in the production of "The Classic Frames" stopmotion film. This was specifically produced for the sole example of BTS help content, and quickly but entertainingly done in about a hour and fifteen minutes, edited down to half a minute with ruthless trimming.
Not all my content going forwards will be this short. Content that goes an hour or over may be rare to be honest, and even going into tens of minutes would only really be my "breath of fresh air" videos based in things like claymation discussions or even longer projects that might include animations in them (i.e. life skills discussion with inspired claymation). But for now, settling for seconds and 3-4 minute videos is at least proving i can be succinct by will, and even if my content appears to be meme-worthy for being too short lately, my fans have less of a burden finishing them. And i do get to finish them earlier and upkeep smaller files lol. But mostly just taking my time to experiment with smaller videos while i know they counted for something!
Special thanks to the NewTubers discord server and to my supporters on other platforms. Stay tuned for an audio tutorial of "The Classic Frames" and its actual animation later on in the weeks. Considering releasing the 2020 claymation reel BEFORE the end of the year unlike last 2019's reel, but this can be debated. Planning on doing BTS/tutorials for claymations until at least ten videos for any of the available playlists, and might continue doing so to be consistent with other ongoing projects (but with more of an encouragement to get them out there without being too focused on the BTS aspects!). Lastly, i will consider allocating part of my content creation towards the 2021 Animator Guild animated short film contest, and will film BTS style content towards that in particular whenever i appear to be ready. Meanwhile there are other projects on the horizon, namely the fancy pants one mentioned earlier, that might be brought up at one point or another.
Thanks again for the watch, and I'll hopefully see you again next week.
Question of the day: Is it bad to have more behind-the scenes and tutorial content than actual finished pieces of production? (think help, hub & hero content if that helps!)
