Slacking Science Claymation - Facial Features & Moving Reactor! (with audio)
A "scientific" Claymation previously produced in mid-February about two circular and colorful scientist characters that are slacking off on the job while a core reactor in their very facility goes haywire. A stopmotion animation made with newly applied attempts at facial features animation (eyelids and mouths components) and with a frame-by-frame usage of the lantern's ("core reactor") mechanical movement as well.
This was kind of tedious to make, as are some of my claymations from time to time. I ended up getting a little lazy halfway through animating and sped out through the rest of the frames quickly adjusting to all the parts I had to animate at once. But it was really fun pretending to be Laika Studios for like a couple to a few hours, trying to hold steady as my fingers and eyes tried to find out how to keep face parts onto the clay props steadily as well as making sure I had the right ones for certain frames animated in time.
This April release of the animation would mean about roughly two months since it was finished without audio. I just added the audio to it yesterday night, which was also when I just happened to finish my 2nd SCP:SL Claymation. Incase I don't post about this later, the plan is to bring back the channel to once a week consistency with the videos I have in reserve and (hopefully) more to come alongside them. Since its been more than seventy days since my declaration to run a mostly vlogging channel, I think it would be more innocent to just upload claymations like normally, only to make sure I can niche down this time onto them for as long as possible whilst uploading most to all my non-Claymation content onto the secondary Marchscarf channel. I can explain this more on a potential video for this channel but for now I need to see what I can set right while I'm still present.
See you guys in the next one! Claymation Props Showcase #2 comes up with a tiny selection of OoT Claymation to start with. And keep an eye out for SCPs 173 and 096 to come together in my 2nd Secret Laboratory Claymation! Those are both in reserve and I plan to create more in the coming weeks, if that is to come to plan. Otherwise check out my other stuff while I'm still in the works. Let's see how long I can niche down this time around...
