Hit VR title where you sword fight with killer robots, Clone Drone in the Hyperdome, has today received a massive free update. This adds the massive new Skyscrapper Mode - where players face off against an endless tower of robot destruction - along with a host of new features and improvements
The door to the training room has opened up and revealed a new area. Once you have beaten the Crashloop story mode, the Skyscrapper will rise from the wreckage and give you infinite floors of robot fighting. The higher you go, the harder it gets, as you earn rewards after beating each difficulty tier to gain extra lives or acquire new powers. Each floor has a theme: Fire weapons! Giant saw blades! 10 Captains
In the Skyscrapper update, the commentators beloved by Clone Drone fans take centre stage, keeping track of your progress and “encouraging” you with unique lines of banter for different milestones. Reach the highest you’ve ever climbed? They’ll congratulate you on it. Pick up your favourite weapon? If it's a common short sword, they’ll clown you for being basic.
The new update adds a host of other great features that improve Clone Drone in the Hyperdome across the board. This includes a much-requested cutting resistance setting, adding increased difficulty and a more dynamic, tactile feel to combat. Furthermore, new green brains have been added to enemy heads that require the CPU of foes to be destroyed before they can be defeated.
Enemy AI has also been enhanced for an even stiffer challenge where intelligent foes will work to surround you, and enemies are now able to riposte if your guard is down after you clash swords. To take on this increased challenge, more two-handed weapon handling options have been added.
