Cloud time-lapse with "Motion aftereffect" Optical Illusion
Carefully watch the cloud movement in this time-lapse, preferably at full-screen. In the final few seconds of the video, are the clouds moving?
The final few seconds of the video show a static, stilled image. As you watch the video for a little bit, your brain will register the clouds as moving. But what is odd is that if the clouds suddenly stop, your brain will THINK that the clouds are still moving, when in fact they are standing still! Crazy!! It may take up to a minute for your brain to realize this change and correctly interpret the clouds as stationary. This optical illusion is known as the "waterfall effect" or the "Motion aftereffect".
