Cloudstrike is a New Exotic Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2 Beyond Light, Season of the Hunt. There is a small amount of quest pre requisite before you can start grinding for Cloudstrike. I'll go over which ones in the video. However, the easiest way to explain how to get Cloudstrike is just by saying.....go get Europan Explorer 2 and start doing the Elected Difficulty Empire Hunts. You have a chance to get Cloudstrike at the end of each Empire Hunt difficulty. There is no confirmation, but I suspect that the higher difficulty Empire Hunts, like Legend and Master Empire Hunts at 1250 and 1280 have a greater chance than the lower difficulties. I found my Cloudstrike on my first Legend Empire Hunt, but I also say it drop off 1 Master Empire Hunt too. So it's hard to really tell the drop rate of Cloudstrike. In the video, i'll tell you how to get cloudstrike, the cloudstrike damage (approximately) and i'll give a brief overview and review of Cloudstrike in both PVE and PVP

PvE: there are two different ways (that I have found) to make this effective in PvE. headshot red bar, explosion kills everything around him. or pick a boss with small enemies around him and start landing the crits, after a few crits the storm will show up increasing damage to the boss and killing everything around. this made it seems good at both killing groups of red bars, all the way up to doing some long-range damage vs bosses.

PvP. I suck at PvP sniping, so take this with a grain of salt.

For PVE, its pretty nasty actually, good for ad clearing and does substantial dps in my tests. Being a 140, and doing extra damage with the lightning, it may be a long range dps option in endgame content. Pvp, I like it as well but not as much. It is fun to get collats with but it gets flinched like crazy and the zoom is pretty high, but the aim assist feels good. Overall, one of my favorite exotics for pve now and a fun option in crucible too.

With a full 7 bullet mag you can almost kill Carl, which is the new test boss for dps. It gets him to about 1/6 health if you hit every crit. Very good to clear big clumps of red bars by simply headshotting one. The lightning from a precision shot does more damage than a precision shot exactly where it strikes, so it will probably also one shot In pvp no problem. If only i was good at pvp sniping. I don't know how much damage the full storm does but i know it's a lot.

50 zoom makes it a very unattractive choice for crucible, but the dragonfly esc perk is pretty neat for combos

Secondary trait will probably give good boss DPS and in crucible the lightning can hit multiple targets easily.
