Sometimes personality disorders are hard to identify. But when communication with family becomes almost impossible you may question if something more is going on. Family members who have personality disorders are often rigid, unchanging, dominating, controlling, manipulative, and sometimes abusing. Although you could possibly arrive at many possible reasons for their behaviors, the problem may be a personality disorder.
