There had better be a dedicated hug button, even if it does absolutely nothing.

No, not for me! For them! I'm not made of jellybeans or something!

As the title might indicate to you, this video was ACTUALLY meant as an extra little follow-up on the previous one.

Specifically, it creates a few little odds and ends in terms of what you and your goo-friend can do together.

Um, co-op... ... ... gallery? Why? Seems an awful lot like an extra unnecessary opportunity for non-gameplay, but whatever you say, Doc!

Oh, I see. Very interesting. It would seem that the Gallery will permit you to reengage any Portrait Ghost battle from where it's being held in storage, which is a massive quality of life improvement over the original. In that one, you'd have to start the whole game over again and do everything from the start to take another whack at 'em.

But WHY would you want to do that? I mean besides repeating a game segment you ostensibly enjoyed enough to want another go at it. For painting rankings, of course!

Each Portrait Ghost is actually an informal evaluation of how well you're faring in battle, and that performance will translate into the color of the picture frame as well as the level of detail and dynamism in the subject's immortalized pose.

The key to more or less all of those rankings is to suck up at least 90 of the ghost's HP in one unbroken vacuum attempt. Doing so will generate an especially large pearl based on the very same criteria.

Area boss ghosts are different, however. For instance, it's outright IMPOSSIBLE to get Chauncey to not break free. This is because those bosses play by different rules and revolve around evolving attack patterns, and they'd prefer you not ignore them in favor of a one-and-done attack when things are still on an easier pattern. More hazards to interrupt your suction as well, so it wouldn't always be fair for Luigi.

The criterion according to which you're judged is instead far simpler: just don't get hurt! As long as the boss doesn't cause you to lose more than 10 HP, you'll get top marks.

The important part in either case is that having a second sucker pointed at the pesky poltergeists makes it all the easier to accomplish the task.

On the other hand, I have absolutely no idea what supposed incentive there is to be able to re-do training mode, but now in glorious, slime-covered co-op!
