Cobra Kai Season 3 Update What We Know So Far | Daniel Goes to Japan & Terry Silver Return
Thirty four years after events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, a down-and-out Johnny Lawrence seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai dojo, reigniting his rivalry with a now successful Daniel LaRusso.
We will have to wait until 2021 for Cobra Kai Season 3 as it was initially expected to be
released at the end of the summer by the shows creators but a new trailer has dropped the
news we will have to wait another year. A producer did also tweet that the show is filmed, edited
and ready to go and it is a shame it is not out now but to be honest the show is lighting up netflix
and its smart of them to wait until the maximum amount of people have seen it.
The trailer did not reveal all that much, mostly being footage from the preceding season
however it did have a new scene at the end showing daniel larissa training and
hinting that mr mirage hid something from him as a sai is shown. We know that part of season 3
was shot in okinawa so Daniel will be pursuing miyagis past as he tries to continue on the
legendary karate teachers legacy. We may learn more of miyagis war time actions or maybe he
was up to some mischief before the first movie and after the war that he never revealed to
daniel or daniel may be there to retrieve a shrine as in the trailer you can see a shrine similar to
the one daniel had to retrieve in the karate kid cartoon. The guy he is fighting is wearing cobra
kai gear and looks sort of terry silver.
Terry Silver was in the third karate kid movie and was a war time ally of krese who became rich
after the war and created a whole convoluted plot to bring honour back to cobra kai. He has
been hinted at in the preceding seasons as krese says the photo he hangs up was taken by a
friend. It has been theorised that tory, the anti-sam was indeed terry’s daughter which explains
why she is instantly great at karate as she would have had training and may have been sent to
cobra kai by her father to defend it. None of her family have been revealed and people behind
the show like hayden shlossberg says that she will get out of prison so having a rich father may
help with that. He would also probably want to help his old friend kris finally get full revenge on
daniel larissa.
Now William Zabka, who plays johnny lawrence has said in an interview that season 3 will be
picking up after a significant time delay. We know that miguel will have suffered some severe
damage after that major fall and was unconscious and critical after johns son yeets him off but
he does survive as the actor who plays miguel did tweet that season 4 had wrapped which is
pretty crazy as they seem to have filmed these seasons very quick.
Miguel will quite clearly survive but will no doubt need to have rehab and considering he showed
mercy to robby, his season 2 arc of realising no mercy is bad and would have johnny rehabbing
him and training him to probably fight robby who will be independent again and hawk who will
be in cobra kai as well as hawks simpy ex-friend in a big all valley tournament in season 3. I do
hope that would return as a culmination of the last two seasons progress. The actor who plays
miguel said he wants to stick by johnny but even he isn’t sure about what happens next.
Now here is a bit of a crazy theory as I think a great story for daniel would be taking johnny to
okinawa as they finally bury the hatchet or should I say sai and this would explain why the guy
he is fighting is wearing black gear and they would both return to take on a renewed krese and
even a returning terry silver. Many characters will not be returning like aisha as a lot of it is set in
japan.
Elizabeth shue is also rumoured to return as she finally sent johnny a friend request so
personally i think they will go to japan only for ali to find johnny and hopefully rekindle their
romance that daniel ruined in the first movie as hilariously he is the true bully. The trip to japan
will also continue the plot of karate kid 2 as he went to japan to cointue his training but he will
need to get to the roots of miyage do as he seeks balance. They shows creator shave said that
every single character has been talked about so kumiko and chozen can easily appear here in
season 3. So we will learn more and if johnny doesn’t go with him then sam will likely go with
her father as the learn what miyagi kept from him
