Cobramode- The Sommos wish to declare aquatic superiority!
53Cobramode put out some really cool fishy folks and I FINALLY had a chance to sit down and film them!
I think this set is probably the best Cobramode have done if you're looking to fill in your ranks for mass battles with something a little bit different. With all the whining I've read over the ever dwindling stock of Wrath of Kings' Hadross kits, I think these are a perfect solution!
First off, you've got three sizes of Sommos. The tiny Pyraja, the human- sized Calongo, and the thick and hardy Jow.
I think this is the first set of models that have been designed for modular arms. That helps a lot if you want to fill out any sort of warband and make the members stand out a bit from each other (or just pile them all onto multibases). It's only the Calongo that are really modular though, so keep that in mind before going wild printing the big Jow guys hoping to mix their parts up.
As with most Cobramode releases, all three flavors of Sommos have a lot of personality. From the mouthful of fish of the Pyraja, the "come at me bro" pose of the Calongo, or the smirks on the Jows' faces, they're pretty distinct looking (despite not bothering with clothes or anything likethat).
I'll have to try printing the big dragon- like Sammorey eventually as well.
