Call of Duty Advanced Warfare maps are closer to Black Ops 2 maps than any other CoD game. Generally speaking, they are 3-4 lane maps with the lanes well defined and not many random camper corners. They are, except Defender, uncluttered. However, with the new exoskeleton movements more vertical than before. However, they are still only vertical within the lanes.
