The ability of the Brodiaea to be used as a defensive weapon puts a whole new spin on damage reduction survivability. I hadn't really thought of this before, but it proves to be very viable. Defending with a bayonet was the last thought on my mind when thinking how to provide a very high vitality setup. However, I'm pleasantly surprised just how effective this build is at surviving all kinds of stupidity, including the Butterfly's poison. This is rare when a setup can survive the poison blast, the swinging attacks, and her direct onslaught of combos.
