Yes, the bayonet is not as useless as I thought... it is different and different is not bad. I honestly found bayonets special and fun.
If you want to play the bayonet... I suggest using the sunset bayonet early on and from there you have a few options. The Liberator for shooting, Black Bayonet or Argent Wolf Bayonet for melee, and Mia's Bayonet or the Queenslayer Bayonet if you want to both shoot and melee. For blood codes you can use Jack's, Eva's, or Mia's blood code, the Queenslayer blood code, Queen, or Eos. There are lots of options. Try staying at quick or normal for bayonets. For a fragile class you will need to stay on your toes unlike the other weapons. Since you deal fairly weak damage you can't afford to trade damage for defense sadly. With the right optimizations you are on par or perhaps better than the other classes since you hit hard and at range, and are quick.
