5Not really sure if this level is just RNG or if there's something else going on that we don't understand yet. First half seemed to be pretty consistent, like usually within a few seconds but then the last fight varies a lot. Shooting planes actively seems to be the way to go and then you just pray you get a fast last fight. Also no idea if having to shut down the second wings fuel slows down the run or not.
In this run I was testing skipping / shortening some dialogue by intentionally shooting my own planes when the pilot or whoever started talking (same voice as the friendly fire warning). It might've actually worked since the first split was way faster than before but that could've also just been RNG. Someone would have to test this theory extensively (but this mission just so boring...).
Being a pacifist in the first half didn't seem to affect the time there however then the ending was really slow, no idea if there's a connection as I only did a few runs. Half pacifist run was 17:16 while the other normal runs were between 17:00-17:10 with this PB run being a clear outlier. Another thing I tried was switching cannons before the game tells you to. This didn't seem to make a difference (or it was slower but not sure) and it was just the long last fight which mattered.
