Hello all and welcome to my let’s play of Phoenix Point! The Steam year 1 edition of the game came out and im playing through the game again. Hopefully we can complete the game this time over!
We are also starting to make some steps for our 4th squad, but are constantly out of materials. Damn you items! Why must you cost resources! Squad management aside we continue our research and unlock further bionic components. The ones from Synedrion in this case.
On the field we destroy a Pandoran nest and do three Haven defences. One for the disciples of Anu and two for Synedrion. New Jericho is the only faction that we dont need to help this episode.
The latter half of the episode (or rather the 2nd Synedrion Haven that we defend) was just borderline bizarre though. I dont know whats up with my snipers but they miss shots are almost impossible to miss and I have no clue whats causing it. Its annoying the hell out of me though and almost got a few of my soldiers killed in that mission.
Not even the upgraded snipers seem to help in that regard so I dont know what I can do to counter it?
Also this episode is very long compared to what I had planned but I have so much footage recorded for episodes that unless I cut up every move (which makes for a garbled mess) I have difficulty keeping it within the hour. Do people have a problem with the length of the videos? Please let me know!

Phoenix Point is set in 2047 on an Earth in the midst of an alien invasion, with Lovecraftian horrors on the verge of wiping out humanity. Players start the game in command of a lone base, Phoenix Point, and face a mix of strategic and tactical challenges as they try to save themselves and the rest of humankind from annihilation by the alien threat.
Between battles, the aliens adapt through accelerated, evolutionary mutations to the tactics and technology which players use against them. Meanwhile, multiple factions of humans will pursue their own objectives as they compete with players for limited resources in the apocalyptic world. How players resolve these challenges can result in different endings to the game.
