1I originally Tesla Coil chained this level because I found it frustrating.
A Heavy Tank force is definitely quicker, and you don't need to defend your base that much, although you may want a few Heavy Tanks on the the SW Ore Field when you can to prevent Mine Layers and deal with incoming forces.
Whilst you're building up your base, work on the Naval aspect and make sure to block their Naval Yard with a Submarine. The Transport makes for a good scout of the waters moreso for Soviets because it can dodge Allied boatfire easier than Soviet Submarines. Doing this now will save time in the end, as it's better to have units attacking as much as posisble, even whilst building new ones.
