Time to isolate the main parts of the 1541 disk drive to figure out if the trouble is on the circuit board, the power supply, or within the actual drive mechanism.

Those are the three main parts...if you have a 2nd drive, you can pretty quickly get it isolated pretty quickly. If it is on the circuit board, well, there are lots of potential options there...and on and on it goes...one 1541 disk drive at a time!
