MENU BASICS
- Layout Editor - This part is important, this will show you how to setup your stream view. I personally have it set to Stream Display on top, Mini feed in the middle, and three bottom columns from left to right going Scene Selector, Source Selector, and Audio Mixer. You can set it up however it makes sense to you.
- Studio Mode - This part is often overlooked. What this section does is split your screen into two, left being the scene you want to switch to, and on the right what it is currently showing your stream. allowing you to get another screen ready before a transition. This can be useful for animated overlays that have a heavy loading time, which can make your stream look cleaner and more professional. It also works well with stream decks.
*Login/Logout is where you will typically start since your streamlabs profile is connected to your stream platform login, whether it be twitch, mixer, or youtube. you will also logout here if you need to for any reason.

EDITOR SETUP
ORGANIZATION: AUDIO, ALERTS, BACKGROUND, GAME
I create 4 folders to keep things separate and easier to organize. Now that we are getting into adding layers, be aware that information appears based on how it is layered, the top being the front-facing, and the bottom being sent to the back. With the preset information added to the theme let's start there. The below order will be the most effective top-to-bottom order of these folders.
AUDIO
-Microhone: Click add - Audio Input Capture - Microphone
-Gameplay: Add - Audio Output Capture - Desktop Audio
ALERTS
-Alert Box
BACKGROUND/PRESET
-Overlay
-Emote Images
GAME
-Window Capture: Click + - Window Capture - Window - Size
-Game Capture: Click + - Game Capture - Specific application - App - Size
-Display Capture: Click + - Display Capture - Size
AUDIO MIXER (I did forget to discuss this part!)
On the right section Audio Mixer - You will want to check your audio for desktop and mic to test the levels. you always want your mic to be louder than the game play, but enough for people to hear the game as well. There is going to be a ton of audio mixers that don't need to be visible so you can click the setting icon next to it and click hide. It'll still be heard if it produces sound. Keep your game play/desktop audio and microphone audio so you can check these over time.
And you're done! You made it! You are now ready to test out your stream. How you can do this is by hitting the record button next to the Go Live button and it will save to the location in your video settings so you can record a game where you talk, and go back and listen to see how it worked!
HOT TIP
Audio - Now I told you that I would share my biggest tip on making your stream supreme, and that is through audio filters. People want to hear that fire audio when they come in. Nobody listens to static radio stations. What you need to do when you add your microphone i
