Congo's Caper is a nice little charming game from Data East, the same guys who made Joe and Mac (or Caveman Ninja). Although simplistic - but with some neat jump mechanics - this is a pretty nice game with a fantastic soundtrack too.

The game is your typical "two hits and you're done" but you can earn a super form of sorts by collecting three red spheres (although you lose all progress if you take damage while you're holding two of them).

The super form allows you to use a max height jump (without having to boost yourself with an enemy) by pressing Up + Jump and glide while descending from it (but not from a regular jump) by mashing B. But the best feature it gives you is a 3 health bar that stacks with your normal 2 health, you can also restock on life with more red spheres, as long as you don't lose all 3 health bars you'll keep the super form.
