Conquest of Elysium 3 (Dwarf) Part 1
And as expected, dwarves are ridiculous.
We have fought these annoying pests in majority of the games so far and I now know just how annoying they can be.
Dwarf Queen gets +100% gold and iron from all mines and -1 gold from everything else (this makes Farms worth nothing to dwarves). They collect iron and gems to do most of their work and gold is mainly used for expanding and purchasing human mercenaries. Recruiting is less recruiting and more like converting the Dwarf Workers your Dvala produces. Every month, each Dvala produces one worker and every Daughter of Dvala produces two workers. You spend mostly iron to convert these workers into other things such as warriors or their every powerful Arbalests.
Dwarf Queens treat every mine (cept for coal mines) as citadels and can convert units in any citadel. But where the dwarves power really comes to full maturity is when you collect enough Diamonds to produce your first Rune Smith. Dvala's have multiple abilities that use gems such as scrying for mines and producing some champions. But Rune Smiths is their main use besides producing workers and upgrading themselves.
Rune Smiths are caster champions but they also have their own range of abilities that use gems. They can summon a Dvala on any citadel mine, allowing that to become an official outpost that is constantly producing workers. While this very important, their other abilities is what makes them insane. For 20 gems of the same type, Rune Smiths can instantly summon five high tier level dwarves. Summon, not convert. With enough gems which are easy to gather in most cases, you can easily summon an extra 15 heavy units with either immunity to cold or fire or resistance to piercing. WIth this, i can use Rune Smiths to make my melee units and use all my iron to convert workers into heavy crossbow men. Its just a vicious never ending cycle that can be hard to deal with.
Also all dwarves have mountain walk and you know how annoying mountains are.
