1In this video I'm going to show you how Control runs on ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DT laptop. My goal was to keep the settings as high as possible while maintaining 40fps most of the time. Why did I cap the fps to 40 you ask? Well when I tried all possible settings to make the game look not terrible and perform well (60fps) that didn't go well with the temperatures sadly. With the settings shown in the video (or if you put them to medium-low) you will get 60fps but the temperatures will go up to 84°C or even higher and that's not good for the laptop in my opinion. That's why I capped the game to 40 fps (in nvidia control panel), that allowed me to get good graphics, stable fps (yes it is playable and feels smooth) and the temperatures were better. In the video fps will sometimes drop because of recording and the temperatures are also a bit higher than without recording(around 2°C higher).
