Corrupted Hall of Fame but in Pokémon Crystal (Generation II)
Notes: Less commonly than in Generation I, there are glitches in Gold/Silver/Crystal that can corrupt the Hall of Fame. For this glitch in Crystal we change 01:AD10 (number of box Pokémon) to 45 (0x2D) using arbitrary code execution (though corruption may be possible with depositing to get Pokémon 45 too).
Depositing another Pokémon to get 46 (0x2E) then is enough to corrupt the Hall of Fame Pokémon. Sometimes you can see entries beyond the maximum number of entries, and HOF Master; a normally unused message for over 200 Hall of Fame entries (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHkWubvxmSg )
The raw ACE code (which I set up for wrong pocket TM15 at DA10) is 3E 01 EA 01 4E 3E 0A EA 01 0D 3E 2D EA 10 AD C9
In English Gold/Silver, the number of box Pokémon is at 01:AD6C and you can cause Hall of Fame corruption by corrupting Pokémon 49 (0x31).
